Singapore Chinese Orchestra Remembers The Wandering Songstress

May 1, 2008 5:18 PM

Coolux Chinese Orchestra

As part of the annual Chinese Festival of Arts or “Huayi,” the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) recently held a performance at the Esplanade Theatre honoring the wandering songstress, Zhou Xuan. Zhou Xuan was one of the most mesmerizing and popular Chinese singer-actresses in the 1930s and 1940s whose songs captured the hearts of millions of Chinese during her time, and she remains well loved today.

Total Solution Marketing Pte Ltd used the Pandoras Box Media Server WHITE+ from coolux to create a scenic backdrop of past images to bring the audiences imagination back to the 1930s and 1940s. Two Barco R12+ projectors were used to project the high-definition images soft-edged onto the 59-foot hemisphere screen.
