Lighting designer Kevin Adams has joined the faculty of the Broadway Lighting Master Classes for the first time, as announced by BLMC creative consultant Jules Fisher. Adams will present a case study about his lighting for the Broadway musical, Spring Awakening, which all BLMC attendees will see on Wednesday evening, May 16, 2007.

Adams has designed for Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatre, opera, pop concerts and solo artists across the US. His Broadway credits include Spring Awakening, Take Me Out, John Leguizamo's Sexaholix, Eve Ensler's The Good Body, Hedda Gabler, A Class Act, and An Almost Holy Picture, a solo play featuring Kevin Bacon. His Off-Broadway credits include the premiere of the cult rock hit, Hedwig And The Angry Inch, as well as works by Anna Deveare Smith, Eric Bogosian, Christopher Durang, Terrance McNally, Neil Simon, Paula Vogel and Charles Mee Jr.  Opera includes NY City Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Canadian Opera Co, Glimmerglass Opera, Tanglewood, Bard Summerscape, Kennedy Center. Concerts: Audra McDonald, Sandra Bernhard, The Indigo Girls, Magnetic Fields (69 Love Songs, Lincoln Center), Patti Lupone (Gypsy, Anyone Can Whistle, Sunday In The Park, Regina, Candide). For his work Off-Broadway, he received an Obie for Sustained Excellence. His photography and videography have been exhibited internationally and are included in the permanent collection at the LA County Museum of Art.
