One point Phil missed is that SCS is amazingly simple to use. The greenest of novice can pick it up and run with it with very little instruction. I too have used a number of products over the years and this ones "required" hardware is also a lot less than some of the other ones I've used. This will run on anything from a netbook to a power house. It uses the hardware you have quite effectively. And for the price, I found it to be the best bang for the buck for Windows products.

I am not sure about current versions, but the version that I bought (Version 6 I think) had very specific hardware requirements. One of the annoying things I found was, the software never pre-fetched the audio files into memory, or loaded as it went. This was problematic when dealing with large audio files on the POS hardware we were running at the time. It would sometimes take 1/2 second to load larger audio files into memory at the time of execution. This killed it for us and we ended up going to SCS, which worked great on the same hardware.
