Both the 1984 and 2008 versions of Sunday In The Park With George couldn’t escape our list, the original for its double Tony Awards for Tony Straiges’ scenic design and Richard Nelson’s lighting design, with costumes by Patricia Zipprodt and Ann Hould-Ward and sound by Tom Morse.

The revival is acclaimed for its incredible use of digital media, with the projection design team of Timothy Bird & The Knifedge Creative Network included alongside set designer David Farley in the nomination for Best Scenic Design of a Musical. Lighting for the revival was by Ken Billington, with sound design by Sebastian Frost, both also nominated for Tony Awards. One reader notes, “I am only 26 years old, but that [2008] production has changed my life and the way I think about design.”
