Belasco Theatre: Historic Renovation On Broadway
One of Broadway's classic theatres, the Belasco, originally opened in 1907 as the Stuyvesant Theatre. The marquee, lobby, and auditorium have been renovated The Shubert Organization, with architect Francesca Russo in charge of the historic restoration, including Tiffany glass lamps and period murals. These drawings, photographs, and interviews document the revival of what is now considered one of the most beautiful historic theatres in the world.
