Founded in 1925 in Chicago, Shure Inc. commemorated its 81st anniversary this year and one of the company’s longtime partners, Tel Aviv, Israeli-based Giveon Electronics Ltd. is celebrating its 70th year as a Shure distributor. Joseph Giveon began the company in 1934 and it has been a Shure distributor since 1936.

“The association between Shure Incorporated and Giveon Electronics Ltd. is extraordinary,” says Rose L. Shure, chairman of Shure. “It began before Israel became a sovereign country in 1948. The founder, the late Joseph Giveon, entered into the relationship with S. N. Shure 70 years ago, and it has continued under the management of his son, Ahinoam Giveon.”

“Pride is the first emotion that arises for Giveon having completed 70 years as a Shure distributor,” comments Giveon. “It seems incredible that, between my father and me, we have waved the Shure banner for seven decades. It takes mutual understanding, abiding trust, and close cooperation to maintain a relationship for so long and none has ever wavered. May it continue for many years to come.”

“We would like to congratulate everyone at Giveon and express our sincere appreciation for their many decades of contributions and loyalty as a Shure distributor,” adds Sandy LaMantia, president and CEO of Shure. “They are a world-class company, and we are proud to still be doing business with them after 70 years.”
