NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE– Rascal Flatts is on the road with Bandit Lites on a tour that includes the legendary American rock band, Journey, NBC’s The Voice winner Cassadee Pope, and The Band Perry. Comprised of members Jay DeMarcus, Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney, Rascal Flatts boasts more than 21 million albums sold, fourteen #1 singles and over 7 million tickets sold.
Bandit Lites and lighting designer Andy Knighton have been touring with Rascal Flatt’s for eleven years and has seen the group evolve into one of the biggest tours in the world, and while the concerts have always been “big and crazy,” Knighton remains resolute in creating a shows that are always “way outside the box.”
“I was once told by Gary Levox, ‘You do what you do and I'll sing.’ These guys have always trusted me to run that part of the business,” said Knighton.
Equipment includes VL 3500 washes, VL 3000 spots MAC Vipers, a Grand MA console and Grand MA Lite console.
“This rig consists of 9 curvatures loaded with VL products and video tile, 4 pods of 6 MAC Vipers on rotating walls, a complete thrust network riddled with LEF MR-16 and under lite via 12-8 lite linear boxes,” explained Knighton.
