With more than 20 years experience as a sales manager in some of the biggest firms in the professional lighting industry, Harry De Lon will be joining GLP as of the 1st of February this year. De Lon’s long and luminous career began on the front lines, working in theatre as a lighting technician. From the moment he switched to the product side and began his sales career, it was no surprise that theatre remained his key focus, which it does to this day.
One of the major tasks for De Lon was to integrate the idea of automated lighting into the world of theatre, creating new dimensions of creativity in this conservative market. After eight years at Strand Lighting as distributor sales manager, De Lon moved to Martin Professional Germany where he has worked for the last 10 years as segment manager for the TV and theatre markets.
De Lon brings his extensive knowledge and experience of the professional market to GLP and will work to ensure they continue to develop innovative products for the TV and theatre markets.
In addition to this he will also be working closely with GLP-founder Udo Kuenzler and new business director Kasper Gissel (a long time colleague from Martin) to ensure the sales strategy is in tune with the needs of especially the TV and theatre markets.
“I am really looking forward to the challenge of joining a young enthusiastic team with new ideas to revolutionize the market of the professional lighting industry,” comments De Lon.
