Murphy Lighting Systems, a systems integrator, service center, and full-line theatrical/TV lighting dealership has named Phil Hall to head up their new regional office in the San Francisco Bay area.
“With the addition of Phil, Murphy Lighting is now able to provide the high level of experience, service and support that our customers expect," says Chris Murphy, president, Murphy Lighting Systems (MLS). "Our traditional area of coverage has been the Southeastern U.S. and Caribbean. We have considered another office for some time, but we needed someone with Phil's experience, knowledge, track record, and reputation in the industry."
Hall serves on the Board of Directors for the Golden Gate chapter of the IES, is a former award winner of the American Society of Lighting Directors and contributed his lighting design to many films and Emmy award-winning TV shows prior to focusing his knowledge on the sales of performance and architectural dimming, control, and lighting systems.
Hall’s background includes project management and sales of lighting, dimming, and control systems with ALR, 16500, Holzmueller, and PR. He is also the founder and former general manager of Lighting & Shadows, Inc., a film & television rentals and sales company.
Some of Murphy Lighting Systems' projects include: CNN television studios; Atlanta, Washington, London, and New York; the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando; various themed attractions in the Orlando area, and hundreds of theatres, television studios, hotels, schools, and churches.
