David Buerer has been appointed associate product manager for Leviton’s lighting control division, which designs, develops, and brings to market theatrical and architectural dimming systems, as well as digital dimmers, scene control devices, occupancy sensors, rotary and electronic timers, relay controls, home automation devices, and fluorescent energy management systems. He will be responsible for the design and development of new lighting control products.
Buerer previously worked as a senior design associate/network specialist for PLA Designs, Inc., and as a senior consultant/owner of The Source. His background include architectural lighting design, theatre consulting, theatrical lighting, rigging, and control systems design, television lighting design, controls design, and performance and production lighting experience.
Buerer studied architecture and computer science at Portland State University and architectural engineering at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
