Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy* Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, has appointed Eric Lardner to the position of staging market manager. Lardner will also retain responsibility to manage specific DPI special project customers.

As staging market manager, Lardner will be working with DPI's regional managers to coordinate programs, product offerings and business transactions with stagers across North America. He will also provide DPI with valuable insight and guidance gathered from his day-to-day interaction with key contacts in the staging community.

"Eric is the ideal person to assume this very important role," said Mike Levi, president of DPI. "He has a depth of skills in major event and application integration. His expertise with projection technology, business acumen and first-rate communication skills will make him a tremendous resource for these important Digital Projection customers."

DPI considers the Staging Market Manager to be a vital role within the company. Since DPI's inception in 1996, the staging market has been an area of notable success for the company's products and business. Some of the most recent successes include the use of its LIGHTNING series projectors during the 2004 Democratic and Republican National Conventions and the 2004 Emmy®, Grammy® and Oscars® awards shows.

A 15-year veteran of the projection industry, Lardner first joined DPI in 1997 as southwest market development manager. He lives with his wife and two children in Plano, TX.
