Kirkegaard & Associates, consultants in architectural acoustics, is celebrating its first 25 years of business by changing its name to Kirkegaard Associates. Per a company release, “This change recognizes the sharing of ownership by senior staff members whose efforts have helped to develop the firm’s strong international reputation as a leader in the acoustical design of major performing venues throughout the US and Canada as well as prominent projects in Europe and the Far East.”

Among the company’s current or recent projects are Allan Hancock Auditorium at University of Southern California, Royal Festival Hall in London, Strathmore Concert Hall (a second home for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra), The Benedict Must Tent at the Aspen Music Festival in Aspen, CO, and the Overture Center in Madison, WI.
