Newly formed International Light Technologies, Inc. today announced that its divisions, Gilway Technical Lamp, a manufacturer and distributor of technical light sources and systems, and International Light, a manufacturer of light measurement equipment, will combine their resources and consolidate their operations at one facility in Peabody, Massachusetts.

Both companies previously had operated as separate corporations. Each will continue to manufacture and market its pre-existing product lines. But, in sharing the new facility, Gilway will be able to now draw on the technical expertise of International Light in light detection, measurement and calibration. International Light will have access now to Gilway’s expertise in UV-Visible-IR lamps, LEDs, lighting assemblies, and modules.

“By combining their already impressive strengths in research, product development, manufacturing, and sales and marketing, Gilway and International Light will provide an even higher level of solution engineering to our customers,” said Thomas Connolly, president and CEO.

Formed in 1969, Gilway Technical Lamp has provided customers with off-the-shelf and customized solutions for a full spectrum of light sources. Since 1965, International Light has been solving the inherent difficulties in light measurement through the design and manufacture of a wide range of light measuring instruments, including the most accurate light meters on the market, according to the company.

“Gilway has been setting the standard for technical support, performance, and reliability for over 35 years, and International Light has been providing a level of knowledgeable technical support that only 40 years of experience can inspire,” stated Larry Schmutz, executive VP and chief technology officer. “We are proud to bring these two exceptional, high-quality companies under one roof. Together, they will ensure that our customers enjoy even better light measurement, technical lighting solutions, product innovation, and unsurpassed customer support.”
