Daktronics Inc. announces the appointment of Michael Cooper as the manager of the Mobile and Modular Group, targeting the needs of the rental and staging market. Cooper will also direct sales in the parimutual market, which utilizes mobile display systems.

Daktronics Mobile and Modular Group, a distinct segment of Daktronics that focuses on the rental and staging industry’s needs, provides services to customers who purchase ProTour modular LED display systems and mobile ProStar® LED systems, as well as other mobile display solutions. ProTour modular LED display systems feature indoor-outdoor LED technology for a brilliant image, a remote power system for ultra-light, low-noise panels and redundant diagnostic and panel-to-panel communication for reliability.
Cooper brings 16 years of experience providing display solutions for rental and staging needs. As manager of the Mobile and Modular Group, he directs the group of sales and technical personnel, which provides products and services to the industry. Before his recent appointment, Cooper was involved with many significant projects, including the 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, and the 1996 summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.
After the 1996 summer Olympic Games, Cooper was named president and CFO of SportsLink®, a leader in mobile large screen video rentals which included the 2000 New Year’s Eve Millennium Celebration in New York City, New York, the 2002 World Youth Day (the Pope’s Visit) in Toronto, Ontario, and the 2004 Ryder Cup Matches in Bloomfield, Michigan. SportsLink® also provided screens for many of Keeneland’s Spring and Fall Horse Racing Seasons, 2000 through 2004, in Lexington, KY.
