Martin Professional has announced the hiring of Chris Hale, who returns to the company to provide technical support for the stage, studio and event segment. Hale, who has 12 years of lighting industry experience, started back at Martin UK on September 22nd. He returns to the company from Coemar UK after a year and a half absence.
Hale started out in the lighting industry career as a freelance programmer, operator, and service engineer, working mainly in clubs. He also worked freelance for a short time in the US. His previous employment at Martin UK included work as a service engineer/programmer and product manager for lighting and control. He also worked in Martin’s educational program, Martin University, and was involved in planning and setting up of exhibitions for Martin UK and worldwide for the company’s headquarters. He has programmed numerous large shows and several large nightclubs including Amnesia in Ibiza. He worked at Martin UK for seven and a half years before going to Coemar UK as technical manager.
Hale’s main responsibility is to keep Martin’s stage, studio and event segment up to date technically. “I'm very pleased and proud to be working back at Martin,” he commented. “It was quite strange on my first day back, walking into a building that felt very familiar but quite different. Martin UK has come so far in the last year and a half with products such as the MAC range and staff that are so focused on their jobs. This position will be a good challenge and opportunity for me and I look forward to it with open arms.”
