Interactive Technologies Cuelink
Interactive Technologies Inc. launches the CueLink™, a new wireless Ethernet bridge that is specifically designed for professional lighting and show control applications. With CueLink, Ethernet-based lighting and other show control data can be wirelessly broadcast in and around an event site with an unprecedented range of up to 5mi. (8km) and an immunity to interference that far surpasses that of 802.11 (WiFi) based products.
CueLink applications are limited only by the imagination of the system designer. Remotely control lighting, audio desks, laser projectors, video switchers, or nearly anything networked via Ethernet, all while enjoying the security provided by the latest in high-reliability wireless data technology.
One of CueLink's most unique and important features is its built-in understanding of many popular lighting and show control protocols, which allows CueLink to intelligently optimize what network traffic should be allowed to cross the wireless link. The user can, for example, specify that only Pathport DMX universes 1, 7, 34, and 56 be broadcast to the remote network.
“CueLink fills a void in our industry for rock-solid wireless Ethernet that 802.11 simply cannot fill,” says Rob Johnston, president and director of engineering for Interactive Technologies. “Adding intelligence to CueLink that allows it to recognize and properly dispatch various lighting and show control protocols in real time is an exciting feature that makes CueLink perform considerably better for entertainment and architectural lighting than any other generic wireless Ethernet solution on the market.” CueLink builds on the company's six years of industry-leading experience with wireless lighting and show control. In 1997, Interactive Technologies introduced the award-winning RadioDMX products to entertainment and architectural lighting. CueLink is available now.

Alcons RBN 601 Ribbon Driver
Alcons introduces the RBN 601 ribbon driver, which has a natural cylindrical wave front, the main ingredient for a good working line array system. With real 90° horizontal dispersion, it is a building block for the forthcoming Alcons line array system. The current acceptance of line array technology and the development of the high-power Alcons RBN 601 ribbon driver has led to the development of a ribbon-loaded line array system for high-power applications. The first Alcons line array will be a compact, multi-use system, complete with dedicated processing and controlling.

Alphaton ACT-100 Cable Tester
Alphaton introduces the ACT-100 Cable Tester to the US market through its exclusive North American distributor, Atlantic Pro Audio. The ACT-100 active remote cable tester has several features that set it apart from other cable testers. The hand-held base unit comes in a durable metal casing that is small enough to be easy to work with, yet not so small as to be easily lost. Error codes are displayed via three multicolored LEDs, and for added convenience, the code legend is printed directly on the metal casing — no paper code sheets to keep track of on the job. It operates with standard 9V batteries, unlike some units that require specialized car-alarm batteries. The remote adapter plug, included with the unit, allows the ACT-100 to conveniently test snake lines and long cable runs where the ends are in different locations.

Concert Audio Evolution Series
Concert Audio presents the large sound reinforcement series Evolution, which comprises the EF-6 full-range cabinet, the ESF flying bass, and the ESX ground-stacked subwoofer. The EF-6 system is equipped with two 12" conical loudspeakers with 75mm (2.95") voice coils for the low midrange and is rated at 1,200W into 8 ohms. The 720mm-deep (28.35") enclosure is trapezoidal, the width tapering to 224mm (8.81") at the rear, and weighs only 65kg (143lb), making it possible to construct very compact and light arrays. The available subwoofer extensions are a 2×18" ground-stacking subwoofer and a 1×18" flying subwoofer with the same dimensions as the full-range unit. The flying hardware is fully integrated, which means you can create clusters in any desired combination, without any additional parts other than the top cradles required.

Entertainment Technology Marquee 24/48 Console
Entertainment Technology's Marquee 24/48 is a powerful lighting console, powered by Horizon™ software. It is a true tracking console with a clear and concise interface which gets you started writing cues fast. Rather than using multiple screens, it displays a wealth of information on a single screen, allowing the user to know what's going on faster and easier. The flexible hardware design future-proofs main components of the console. The Horizon operating system can be easily upgraded or expanded for additional channels. Expansion ports provide integration with playback masters or stage management wings, which can be located up to 300' away. Designed ACN-ready to keep pace with emerging standards, it uses Ethernet to expand its channel count or provide remote nodes. Because it has Horizon inside, it has an unlimited number of simultaneous fades, unlimited cues, groups, and macros. It has two timed/manual fader pairs, track pad, level wheel, and 48 submasters with individual bump buttons.

PCM and Slingco have collaborated to design and launch the Unibar winch system which allows for the quick and easy raising/lowering of suspension or battens for scenery and lighting equipment with a motor-driven unit. It is a flexible, user-friendly unit designed for installing onto any structure, including universal beams, trussing, channels, and barrels. The Unibar is a cost-effective alternative to the more sophisticated power-assisted winch sets. It fills a gap between these types of products and manual winches or hemp sets. Initially available in 250 or 500kg models with single- or two-speed options, the entire Unibar unit is self-contained, with the motor unit positioned on the end of the track. Single- or three-phase power options are offered, and other product highlights include simple, logical plug-and-play operation. Dual brakes are also available as an option. The control panel can either be fixed to the wall or operated by handheld remote.
