Our annual Industry Resources issue is here. The compilations of listings represent our efforts to provide you, the reader, with useful and accurate information on thousands of manufacturers, distributors, representatives, lighting designers, consultants, and other companies and organizations.

Data wiring and other network infrastructure are becoming vital to the operation of most organizations. This has come to include the lighting industry, where networks are being used for control and status monitoring of systems and individual components.

A little over 10 years ago, the DMX512 protocol was introduced. Today, virtually every lighting and effects device utilizes DMX512. The next big leap is DMX distribution via ethernet. Recognizing this, Lighting Dimensions introduces our newest category, Network Devices. We are confident that our industry will embrace ethernet distribution and these devices will become more prevalent in the future.
