Projection designers Bob and Colleen Bonniol of MODE Studios in Seattle are back on board as the creative consultants for the critically acclaimed Live Design Projection Master Classes which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, November 13 and 14, at LDI2007 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, and presented by Live Design in conjunction with LDI2007, following a standing-room-only success at the first Projection Master Classes held at LDI in 2006!
The Live Design Projection Master Classes include two days of sessions exploring cutting-edge design techniques and technology for projection design in a variety of applications from theatre to concerts to theme parks. Sessions include: Projection Case Studies, Playback Options, LED Projection Surfaces, Screen Blending, Scenic Mapping, and Image Warping, Engineering A Video System, Picking the Proper Projector for your Project, and a look at the future of projection technology. Speakers include projection designers Willie Williams, Caryl Glaab, and Jan Hartley, as well as experts from Scharff Weisberg, PRG, and Barco.
On Wednesday evening, November 14, all attendees and corporate sponsors will attend a performance of Blue Man Group in their brand new home at Universal Orlando Resort. This exciting Blue Man experience combines music, comedy, and multimedia for a totally outrageous performance, with new elements including double projections with Green Hippo Hippotizers. The evening includes a post-show discussion in the theatre with members of the creative and technical teams. If you’ve never seen Blue Man Group you are in for a real treat. If you have, this is a great opportunity to see the zany new elements and new staging in their latest show.
