Everybody needs a six-pack: a six-pack, or twelve-pack of LDI conference sessions that is! “We realize that a lot of people are really busy on the LDI show floor,” explains LDI conference director Ellen Lampert-Gréaux. “So this year we came up with new options of purchasing sessions in our conference program: a six-pack and twelve-pack of sessions to offer more flexibility and make the conference realistic for more people to attend, both in terms of time and affordability.”

In addition to the full-conference option, the six-pack and twelve pack options allow attendees to pick and chose various sessions from different tracks according to their interest and schedule. “You can pick from a wide variety of different sessions,” adds Lampert-Gréaux, noting that sessions in the ESTA tech track, Technologies for Worship Magazine track, How To’s and Technology 101, High-Tech Production Techniques, and Sound Tracks are all included. This means that people who may not have time to attend all 16 time slots covered by a full-conference badge over the four days of the conference—Thursday, October 23-Sunday, October 26—can attend the sessions that interest them.

“My goal is to have at least 1000 people, out of the more than 13,000 at the show, pick up on these options, and at least buy a six-pack,” says Lampert-Gréaux, a firm believer that the conference sessions strongly enhance the trade-show experience.

Tony Award-winning LD Rick Fisher—who will be represented on Broadway this season with the musical, Billy Elliot and Jeanette Farmer, lighting designer for CRISS ANGEL Believe, Cirque du Soleil’s newest resident show in Las Vegas are but two of the industry pros who are part of the conference sessions at LDI2008. LDI’s entire professional training program, from Backstage Las Vegas and the LDInstitute to the Live Design Projection Master Clases and the conference sessions, is the most comprehensive training the industry has to offer.
