Audiovisualbay.co.uk is a new web-based sales resource that has been launched by Hertfordshire event production company Universal Event Production (UEP) designed to help companies around the world sell equipment they no longer use or need.
Says UEP’s Steve Butcher, “We had gear collecting dust for ages that we always meant to sell but never got around to for a variety of reasons, and I kept encountering people in this exact same situation. A major reason no one was selling their unwanted gear was that they didn’t have the time to get it together—it was always last on the agenda. Also, until now, eBay was the only serious option to reach a wide audience.”
Butcher decided to take advantage of this gap in the market with Audiovisualbay, making it simple and quick for people who want to shift equipment to get it in front of thousands of interested potential buyers. Audiovisualbay has been specifically designed for those with small-to-medium amounts of gear they want to move—anything from a single PAR or projector to complete truss roof systems. Gear available through audiovisualbay.co.uk includes lighting, sound, data and video, mains, rigging, flight cases, and more.
How Audiovisualbay works:On completion of the sale, Audiovisualbay invoices the seller a commission of 10% to cover running costs, advertising etc. There are no catches: if there’s no sale, no fee is taken—it’s that simple.
