Seatek Co.’s new VT-270 Vee-Twin® is an adjustable cable stripper for use with cables from 5/16” to 2-1/8”, outside diameter. The design allows users to first ring-cut a cable. While keeping it clamped on the cable, the blade is retracted and swung 90° and then reinserted. Pulling the tool along the cable makes a lengthwise cut and separates the cable’s jacket. Double-vee cable support allows curved cables to be stripped, and the blade assembly is spring-loaded so that blade penetration remains constant. Blade penetration is adjusted with a large dial that shows penetration in thousands of an inch. Blades are replaceable, and the stripper includes a locking mechanism.
