DALLAS – (For Immediate Release) -- “Some of most exciting new technology ever displayed together in one show booth,” is how Elation Professional’s director of sales Eric Loader summed up the company’s upcoming exhibit at this year’s WFX Show, held in Dallas, October 2-4, 2013.
Leading the way is Elation’s new CUEPIXSeriesof blinders and strip lights powered by advanced COB (Chip On Board) LED technology. Hailed by the industry as the next step in LED technology, COB LEDs provide greater output from a smaller illumination source, more even light distribution, better color homogenization and better heat dissipation, compared to surface mount (SMD) LEDs.
Elation will also be introducing its first LED ellipsoidal fixture, a new LED Fresnel fixture, and powerful new 100-watt Cool and Warm White LED broadcast lights. These innovative debuts join the company’s wide-ranging line of lighting, video and control products, which will enhance worship services, productions, video broadcasts and youth centers, while helping churches reduce their gear and energy costs.
Here’s a closer look at some of the highlights that will be on display at Elation’s WFX Booth #637:
CUEPIX Series– This groundbreaking series of blinders and strip lights features cutting-edge COB LED technology. With COB technology, multiple LED diodes are directly mounted on and electrically connected to the circuit board as one lighting module. Since there is no conventional device SMT (surface mount technology) packaging as there is with SMD LEDs, interconnection lengths are shortened and thermal resistance is better, resulting in improved performance and reliability. “We have been testing and using this technology for a few years, and it is now mature and stable enough to bring to the market with our new CUEPIX Series,” said Loader. The CUEPIX Series will debut with four models:
* CUEPIX Panel– Matrix Blinder with 25 x 30-watt Tri Color RGB COB LEDs
* CUEPIX Strip WW– Linear Strip with 5 x 30-watt warm white COB LEDs
* CUEPIX Strip Tri– Linear Strip with 5 x 30-watt Tri Color RGB COB LEDs
* CUEPIX Blinder WW2– Blinder with 2 x 100-watt warm white COB LEDs
DW Profile 250– An LED profile fixture, the DW Profile 250 features a dynamic white 250-watt LED engine with a 17°- 30° manual zoom (with optional 30°- 50° zoom available), capable of generating variable color temperatures from 3,000°K - 6,500°K, up to 10,000 Lumens, and provides flicker-free operation for video/broadcast applications. At a 17° zoom 4,600°K full on it produces 2,333 lx at 7.5M (217 fc at 24.6ft), and at a 30° zoom 4,600°K full on it produces 1,027 lx at 7.5M (95 fc at 24.64ft). It includes a manual and DMX controllable dimmer and strobe, 5-pin DMX In/Out, powerCON In, a multi-voltage power supply (100V-240V/ 50-60 Hz), and draws only 300 watts of power maximum.
DW Fresnel250 – Bright, powerful and energy efficient, this LED Fresnel will light up any stage or production with its 250-watt variable white LED engine. The versatile unit can produce color temperatures ranging from 3,200°K - 7,000°K, up to 8,716 Lumens, and comes equipped with a wide-spanning 13°- 41° manual zoom. Featuring a high CRI >90, at a 13° zoom 4,800°K full on it emits up to 2,340 lx at 7.5M (217 fc at 24.6ft), and at a 41° zoom 4,800°K full on it emits 344 lx at 7.5M (32 fc at 24.6ft). It includes 3 and 5 pin DMX In/Out, powerCON In, a multi-voltage power supply (100V-240V/ 50-60 Hz), and draws only 300 watts of power maximum.
TVL F1WW and TVL F1CW– A warm white (3,200°K) and cool white (5,600°K) broadcast light respectively, both of these models feature an ultra-high-output 100-watt 50,000-hour LED lamp source. Both also include a DMX-controllable 12°- 40° zoom and dimmer, 5-pin DMX In/Out, powerCON, and 2 Ethernet (RJ45) ports. Their flicker-free operation and no-noise thermo-optical cooling technology make them ready for any video or live streaming application. The TVL F1WW produces up to 4,329 Lumens and at a 12° zoom full on it emits up to 2,192 lx at 5M (204 fc at 16.4ft), and at a 40° zoom full on it emits up to 831 lx at 5M (77 fc at 16.4ft). The TVL F1CW produces up 3,457 Lumens and at a 12° zoom full on it emits 3,350 lx at 5M (311 fc at 16.4ft), and at a 40° zoom full on it emits up 940 lx at 5M (87 fc at 16.4ft). Each of these energy-efficient units consumes a maximum 141 watts.
