Protech Theatrical Services moves into full scale production of the CertaStop over speed brake

Las Vegas, NV: After receiving an honorable mention as New Product of the Year at LDI 2010 in Las Vegas and being awarded a contract with the US Navy, Protech Theatrical Services has completed tooling for full scale manufacturing and retail sales of its proprietary over speed centrifugal brake. Once just an ancillary product, Protech is now able to offer the brake in many sizes for less than 50% of its original price while reducing lead time to just 2-3 weeks on standard models.

Certastop is a completely mechanical centrifugal brake which provides failsafe protection against gearbox or drum failure in automated rigging systems. The brake is adjustable for both engagement speed and braking force allowing for a smooth ramped stop on nearly any application.
