Theatre and film costume designer Theoni V. Aldredge died last week at the age of 78. Aldredge had three Tony Awards (Barnum, Annie, and La Cage Aux Folles), with 15 total nominations. She was the 2002 recipient of the Irene Sharaff Award for Lifetime Achievement, presented by Theatre Development Fund's Costume Collection, and took home an Oscar for her work in The Great Gatsby.
Broadway theatres in New York will dim their marquees in her memory tomorrow night at 7pm for one minute.
