ZFX Flying Opens Facility In Louisville, KY

Special effects company ZFX Flying Inc. has expanded operations by opening its creative development and manufacturing headquarters in Louisville, KY.

The new Louisville facility is home to all pre-production design. This includes costume and scenery departments as well as the choreography and manufacturing of ZFX’s world-renowned flying effects.

An exciting element of this new location is the "dojo," a 4,000-sq.-ft. high-bay rehearsal space. The company’s creativity department staff, which includes a full-time choreographer, automation specialists, and flying directors, use the dojo to explore new ideas in aerial choreography. Flying scenes can be designed, choreographed, and perfected in the dojo and rehearsals can be videotaped for review, saving clients the time and expense of using an actual theatre.

Over recent years, ZFX has increasingly focused on the corporate and industrial event industry. The new facility, with its expanded rehearsal space, is an exceptional tool available to clients, corporate and otherwise, who wish to include original flying choreography in their special event. ZFX has also used the additional space to renovate the full line of rentals they offer for the classic flying productions Peter Pan and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, including sets, costumes, and props.

In addition, the company has increased its staff two-fold with the move, and now employs over 30 associates on two continents.
