Into the Woods Designers Nominated for NAACP Theatre Awards

The just-closed Broadway revival of Into the Woods has earned its design team nominations for NAACP Theatre Awards. The designers cited are Susan Hilferty (costumes), Brian MacDevitt (lighting), Douglas Schmidt (scenery) and Dan Moses Schreier (sound).

Other nominations for the production include Best Produced Play (Dodger Theatricals, Stage Holding, and TheatreDreams), Best Director--Musical (James Lapine), Best Music Director (Paul Gemignani ), Best Performance--Female (Vanessa Williams), Best Supporting Performance--Male (Trent Armand Kendall), and Best Choreography (John Carrafa)..

The awards will be presented on Monday, January 27th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
