Paul Normandale has designed sets and lighting for current tours for BjÖrk, Crowded House, and Arcade Fire. Normandale is also out with the BjÖrk tour, with lasers by SFX Chicago and set build by Carl Robertshaw Kite Related Design. Glen Johnson is board op on Crowded House, with a set built by Hangman UK. John Choido is the board op for Arcade Fire, with Rich Stembridge as video director. Upstaging provided gear for all three tours.

Washington DC's Mead Theatre's production of My Children! My Africa!, running until October 14 in conjunction with The Studio Theatre, features lighting design by Harold Burgess, set design by Debra Booth, costume design by Reggie Ray, and Neil McFadden as sound designer.

Also in Washington DC, Tom Lynch has designed sets, with Nan Cibula-Jenkins designing costumes, Nancy Schertler designing lighting, and Lindsay Jones designing sound, for Lisa Kron's semi-autobiographical Tony Award-nominated Well at Arena Stage. The production runs through October 14.

Lighting and production designer Patrick Dierson has joined the design team at Artfag LLC.

KMBC Channel 9, recently launched Kansas City's first high-definition newscast from its new facility close to Swope Park with lighting design by John Gates.

The Opera Company of Philadelphia opens its 2007-2008 season this month with Verdi's Rigoletto, with lighting design by Drew Billiau, costume direction by Richard St. Clair, and set design by Paul Shortt.

The 3Graces Theater Co. is premiering Sharyn Rothstein's a Good Farmer at the Bank Street Theatre, with set design by Michael Kramer, lighting design by Greg Mitchell, costume design by Courtney McClain, and sound design by John D. Ivy. Technical direction is by Patrick T. Cecala II, and stage manager is Christy Thede.
