recently provided staging, rigging, and labor for Macy's 100th Birthday Celebration in New York City. The roof system, measuring 45'x25'x35' high, was the main stage for the event which was held at Broadway and 35th Street. The rig was up and ready for a performance by Anti-Gravity in less than five hours.
In another part of town the Sapsis Rigging team led by Michael Sapsis provided rigging services and equipment for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week fall fashion shows held in Bryant Park and the New York Public Library. Sapsis Rigging was instrumental in bringing the concept of fashion shows in rep to the New York Public Library in the fall of 1992, and is proud to have been involved in every season since.
In keeping with his commitment to safety education for stage technicians around the world, Bill Sapsis conducted seminars for the Juilliard School of Music and for the New York, Boston, and Chicago staffs of Blue Man Group.
