Pixelline In Paris

James Thomas Engineering has supplied its French distributor Sonoss with 40 Pixelline 1044 LED battens, which are now available for hire. The first gig for these mega-bright fixtures was at the CNIT venue, La Défense, Paris, where all 40 units were used to light the stage at a convention for French bank, Credit Agricole.

Lighting designer Abdel Tuid of Art Vision Systems in Paris used the Pixellines to create a rainbow effect on stage, positioned behind a 20 metre wide by 6 metre high screen, configured as 5 rows of 8. The battens were just 0.6m behind the plastic screen.

Production company Communication 105 asked Tuid to create a dynamic rainbow effect to symbolize the fusion of Credit Agricole and Credit Lyonnais, two major French financial institutions. The stage and show designer was Philippe Cieutat.
