Bandit Lites, Inc. announces the promotion of Ben Dickman (below) to director of marketing. Dickman joined the company in June of 2000 as a marketing associate. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University with a BSBA in Marketing.
The company also announces additions to its staff at the world headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee. Jim Guinn has been named director of computer resources globally. He comes to Bandit Lites from Techmer PM, where he worked as a team leader within the information services department. Nathaniel Dawson also joins the company as the shipping and receiving specialist. Prior to this position, he specialized in theatre at Las Vegas Academy.
Lighting up the Music World
Bandit Lights has been busy supplying lighting systems throughout the music industry. The company is working with lighting designer Seth Jackson on Donny Osmond’s World Tour “This is the Moment.” The show utilizes Bandit’s MotoDatat Motion Control System and features a Martin moving lights package, along with a Bandit developed “CyberSpot” Cyberlight. Tommy Fulscher, who is also the MotoDatat operator, heads up the Bandit crew. The tour is scheduled to play until December in the US, Canada, and Europe.
Bandit Lites also made an appearance on the country music scene. Each summer, the country music world takes a break from recording and touring for Fan Fair. This year’s 30th installment of the event was held earlier this summer at Adelphia Coliseum, home of Nashville’s Tennessee Titans. Because of the bigger venue, a bigger staging system was required, and Bandit Lites provided the lighting systems for both main stages. Bandit Lites’ Michael Golden designed the system, which more closely resembled a touring rig than a festival.
