, a world leader in LED and fiber-optic lighting, announced that Teddy Van Bemmel has been promoted to worldwide director of sales, and that it has hired Carlo A. Mione to take over as director of sales for its sign division.
Van Bemmel previously served as vice president of sales at Hubbell Entertainment Group. Previous to Hubbell, he served as sales executive for a number of lighting companies including Vanco Lighting Services, where he was co-founder and CEO.
"We are glad to have Teddy move up to take leadership of our sales efforts. Teddy brings a great deal of knowledge, maturity, and experience to the relationships with our distributors and sales representatives that will improve their ability to market our products," states Brett Kingstone, CEO of Super Vision.
"I am glad to be in a position where I can utilize my experience and talents to improve Super Vision's relationships with its distributors and speed our ability to respond to their needs," commented Teddy Van Bemmel. "Our goal is great service along with our great products." Among his goals is improving response time to all agents and adding sales reps and distributors to fill gaps in the product distribution in local, national, and international markets. "The sales opportunities for our LED and fiber-optic products remains unlimited, we just need to make sure that more people are educated on the advantages of our energy saving sign and lighting products."
Mione previously served as a founding partner and senior vice president of marketing for DuraLed Lighting Technologies in Irvine, CA, a manufacturer of LED lighting systems in the sign industry. Mione served previously with several nationally known restaurant chains including Sonic, Sambos, and Del Taco over the past 30 years.
"I became convinced that Super Vision had the best product and the best solution for replacing neon in the sign industry. After seeing its products at its booth at the last International Sign Association show in Las Vegas, I decided to do more than just walk across the aisle and visit, I decided to join the team," states Mione. Kingstone says, "Carlo has been well known in the industry for developing sales and applications of LED technologies to major restaurant and national store chain accounts. He brings a tremendous amount of experience and industry contacts to our sales team."
Super Vision's LED product line serves as an energy-efficient, low-maintenance, and safe alternative to high-voltage neon systems. The average neon system requires 15,000V crossing the transformer, while the Super Vision FlexLED system only uses 12V transformers and requires less than one-third the time for installation by sign manufacturers. Neon is also rated among the top causes of restaurant, retail store, and hotel fires in the United States. The dramatic reduction in energy and maintenance costs are also a big advantage to end users in the commercial building field from restaurants to shopping malls. Mione's responsibility will be to lead Super Vision's sales efforts to sign manufacturers nationwide.
