Automated Lights Added to Georgia Conference Center

The Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Atlanta is currenly completing a $220 million expansion project of four new exhibit halls totaling 420,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space, 29 new meeting rooms, and the new 25,700-sq.-ft. Georgia Ballroom. (The GWCC campus encompasses 3.9 million sq. ft., making it one of the five largest convention centers in the nation.)

New amenities include 14 Vari*Lite® VL2202™ automated spot luminaires and 12 VL1000™ automated ellipsoidal reflector spotlights and Virtuoso™ DX control console. The automated lighting package was supplied by LSD/Fourth Phase Atlanta. The automated luminaires will be used primarily in the new Georgia Ballroom, which is scheduled to open in October.
