Argentine LD Ariel Del Mastro has won two 2001-2002 ACE Awards for his stage lighting work. The ACE Awards are given by the Asociacion Cronistas del Espectaculo, a critics’ organization. (They are the equivalent of the Tony or Drama Desk Awards).
Del Mastro won for his lighting of a revival of Fiddler on the Roof; the production also won an award for scenic design. The second award was for Tanguera, a touring production featured in the January issue of Lighting Dimensions. Del Mastro, a prolific theatre LD, is also known for lighting the Latin American tour of Beauty and the Beast.
