The American DJ Dotz Matrix is a wash/blinder matrix panel that is powered by 16 30W 3-in-1 color-mixing RGB COB LEDs configured in four rows of four LEDs. The difference in COB technology versus SMDs is that multiple COB LEDs are directly mounted on the circuit board as one lighting module, so interconnection lengths are shortened, resulting in greater output from a smaller illumination source, even light distribution, color homogenization, and improved heat dissipation. In addition, the matrix offers pixel-mapping capabilities with four pixel-flipping options for visual effects. It also features a 60° beam angle, five selectable dimming curves, strobe/pulse effect, built-in shows and color macros, DMX control (five DMX channel mode options), RDM (Remote Device Management), and four operational modes.
