LEGENDâ„¢ 250 ZOOM from Chauvet is a 16-channel moving light that projects patterns, logos, glass gobo images, morphing gobos and even soft light. Multiple gobos, colors, prisms, and effects can be layered. The multi-featured zoom includes: linear motorized zoom (150 to 220), variable iris, variable strobe, motorized focus, mechanical dimming, 8-bit or 6-bit resolution, independent frost, and micro-stepping motors.
Movement range is 5400 of pan by 2800 of tilt. Optical encoders at the base of the head automatically correct the fixture’s position as necessary.
There are two color wheels, each featuring five colors plus white. One effect wheel is included and has two colors, two CT filters, two glass effects, one UV filter, and one open position. The system also has two gobo wheels: one features nine interchangeable gobos, the other features seven interchangeable, fully rotating and indexing gobos plus open. All wheels can be superimposed.
On-board programming eliminates the need for a console in certain applications, like simple trade show lighting or merchandising and display. Nine steps can be saved in one program.
Lenses have an anti-reflective coating, improving image quality and minimizing leaks. A new and specialized glass reflector for the lamp harnesses the focal point, which results in an extremely high light output. The 3,000-hour MSD250W lamp can be turned on and off remotely from a console. An internal thermal sensor automatically adjusts the fan speed based on internal cooling requirement, allowing quieter operation. A multi-tap transformer allows selection of the following voltage operating range: 110V, 115V, 208 V, 230V, 240 V at either 50Hz or 60Hz.
