The introduction of the new LV-5200 ultra-portable LCD projector from Canon U.S.A., Inc. a subsidiary of Canon Inc. (NYSE: CAJ), sets a higher standard of flexibility and performance in affordable SVGA projectors. With Canon’s unparalleled optics, a best-in-class 1.5X motorized zoom, complete connectivity and extremely quiet operation, the Canon LV-5200 makes memorable presentations possible anywhere.
The Canon LV-5200 features the diverse capabilities of Canon’s 1.5X motorized zoom, making pristine presentations possible even in tight spaces. It has a remarkable short throw distance enabling 100-inch projections at only 10.4 feet, for crisp, ‘large screen’ imagery even in small rooms. Canon’s long history of lens expertise ensures low image distortion and enhanced color fidelity for classrooms, business meetings, home theater and beyond.
Enhanced connectivity is what puts the Canon LV-5200 at the center of a wide range of presentation setups. Multiple interfaces include a DVI-I terminal and analog input/output port that link easily to laptops, Visualizers, DVD players, VCRs, video game consoles, external monitors and more. The LV-5200 is also ideal for presenting high quality content created on Canon DV camcorders and digital cameras.
Presentations are also distraction-free with the Canon LV-5200, which uses Canon’s quiet mode. Fan noise is reduced to a whisper-quiet 34 decibels, a big benefit in small room situations. The comprehensive wireless remote puts presenters in complete control, with instant access to functions like digital zoom, image freeze and gamma adjustment.
The LV-5200 projects at a powerful 1700 ANSI lumens, for sharply detailed presentations even in fully lit rooms. In addition to native SVGA resolution (800 x 600 pixels), the LV-5200 offers XGA resolution (1,024 x 768) with high-quality compression. Other features including Contrast Mode for sharper data projection, and Cinema Mode for crisper full motion video, add to the value of this projector. Keystone Correction eliminates distortion when the LV-5200 is slightly tilted from the screen.
“The Canon LV-5200 delivers quality presentations and value in a wide variety of environments,” says Yukiaki Hashimoto, vice president and general manager, Photographic Products Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “It combines impressive flexibility with high performance, for a package that sets a new standard for affordable SVGA projectors.”
The Canon LV-5200 will be available in February at authorized Canon dealers, with a suggested list price of $2,499.
