Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, Performing Arts/Media Facilities Planning and Design, recently announced new developments at its New York and San Francisco offices.

Auerbach Pollock Friedlander has hired two new staff members to its San Francisco office. Kenneth Fause is a principal bringing more than 35 years of professional experience to the firm including the design of theatre production systems, a/v systems, broadcasting facilities and acoustics.

Robert Hill is a project manager, senior consultant and designer. He brings more than fifteen years of technical theatre experience to the firm, including lighting direction and supervision for more than 100 operas in the United States and Japan.

Auerbach Pollock Friedlander has also named four new associates: Gregory Weddig of the New York office, Ed Babin of the San Francisco office, and Yukiko Yoshida and E. Sara McBarnette of Auerbach Glasow, San Francisco. The firm’s founder S. Leonard Auerbach says, “The success of our company is dependent on the talent and commitment of the people who work here at all levels. We are pleased enhance our leadership team with outstanding new associates.”

Weddig has designed sound, video and communication systems for high school auditoriums, community theatres, screening rooms for digital cinema, videoconferencing facilities, concert halls and opera houses. Since joining the firm in 1999, Weddig’s project experience has included the renovation of the California Fox Theatre in San Jose, a new planetarium for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, renovation of the planetarium at Griffith Park Observatory in Los Angeles, and the Electronic Arts Corporate Auditorium.

Babin joined Auerbach Pollock Friedlander’s San Francisco office in 1997 where he currently serves as a technical designer and the network administrator. His project experience includes the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis; Hayden Planetarium, Rose Center for Earth and Space, in New York; and numerous Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas.

Yoshida is an IESNA, LC, Associate IALD for Auerbach Glasow in San Francisco. She joined the company in 1995. Her responsibilities encompass all aspects of design and project management. Her projects have included the new campus of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music; the historic renovation of the Fox California Theatre in San Jose, California; Main Street Plaza at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah; the Yosemite National Park Redevelopment project in California; St. Joseph’s Church in Lincoln, California; and prototype stores for GAP brands.

McBarnette is an IESNA, LC, Associate IALD, Auerbach Glasow in San Francisco, CA. At Auerbach Glasow she has designed and managed numerous projects including the Toledo Museum of Art Exterior Renovation and Expansion, the Vallejo Waterfront Master Plan, the Wilson/Equity Office 1st & Howard commercial building complex, and the San Jose Greater Downtown Exterior Streetscape Lighting Master Plan.
