There is still time to register for LDI2012...
First up for Rodgers is Projection Case Study I: The 2012 Super Bowl Halftime Show, at the Live Design Projection Master Classes on Wednesday afternoon, October 17:
Projection Mapping the Super Bowl Halftime Show: If there was anyone who hadn't seen large-scale production mapping before, certainly everyone had a taste of what it can do after the Super Bowl Halftime show. Eye-popping, visually transforming imagery and all presented in the very difficult circumstances of entertainment’s fastest changeover and set up. Bruce Rodgers takes us through the details of this exciting project, with Sakchin Bessette of Moment Factory and lighting designer Al Gurdon.
Then on Friday, October 19, Rodgers kicks off the Production Techniques sessions in the LDInnovation & Technology Conference with Production Design A-To-Z:
Meet Bruce Rodgers, principal designer of Tribe Inc, and creator of some of the biggest, baddest production designs ever, from Super Bowl Halftime shows to rock and roll tours for the likes of Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West, and Madonna, by way of national political conventions and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Rodgers will outline his production design process for these large-scale events, from getting the job to opening night. With Erik Eastland of All Access Staging and Fabrications
Register today to hear Bruce Rodgers at LDI2012, a truly inspirational experience.
“Set design must first come from the heart to ensure that emotion is driving the design, and the brain will join in naturally to allow what architect Louis Sullivan once believed “form ever follows function.” —Bruce Rodgers
