Robert Kaplowitz

Robert Kaplowitz designed the sound for the hit Broadway musical Fela!, and served as associate sound designer for The Crucible and Golda’s Balcony on Broadway. He received an Obie for Sustained Excellence in Sound Design and an AUDELCO for the Off Broadway production of Fela! Design/composition credits include The Poor Itch, The Story, County of Kings and a handful of others at the Public; Stunning (Lincoln Center); Light, Raise the Roof (NYTW); Pumpgirl (MTC), Zooman and the Sign (Signature); An Almost Holy Picture (Roundabout/Broadway); The Thugs (SoHo Rep); and Carrie (PS122). He has also designed for LAByrinth, Second Stage, Primary Stages, the Vineyard, MCC, the O’Neill Playwrights Conference, Sundance, PlayPENN and others.
