This will be Bob McCarthy’s first time at Broadway Sound Master Classes and he has created a unique presentation for the group. Rather than devote his allotted time to an in-depth study of a single subject, he will instead present three topics in a format entitled “One Act Plays.”

McCarthy explains that, “The subject matter is practical and applicable to all levels of designers and will focus on the following:  1) Practical techniques for modern speaker array design. 2) How to design speaker systems so that no one thinks there are speakers. 3) The application of reverberation enhancement systems to musical theatre sound,” He adds, “Attendees will obtain sufficient information about these techniques to improve their design skills immediately. Further depth on these topics can be found in my book: Sound Systems: Design and Optimization.”
