Jules Fisher: An Approach to Lighting The Stage

BLMC Tuesday, May 15th 9:00AM – 11:00AM

Creative consultant for the Broadway Lighting Master Classes since its inception 13 years ago, the multiple Tony Award-winning LD—and part-time magician both on stage and off— Jules Fisher will present the inspirational keynote address for the lighting classes.

"This lecture attempts to define stage lighting from four different viewpoints. Applying one of these definitions it will explain my personal goals incorporated in all my designs," says Fisher. "It will define the 14 imperatives that drive my design process and methods to meet these goals. Adolphe Appia's early revelations regarding dramatic space and time will be interpreted through my current perspective. The final segment will be devoted to questions and answers." Listening to Jules speak about lighting proves his passion for his art.
