Peter Morse has designed lighting and directed staging for the performance environment (concert stage, theater, video, feature film) for the past thirty five years. Originally a performer in both the legitimate theater and the concert stage, Peter eventually moved his talents behind the lights. Having begun designing lighting for various mainstream country artists in the mid 1970ʼs, he branched out to designing, conceptualizing and producing several artistsʼ large production shows for Las Vegas and similar large-scale venues — eventually designing for the arena and stadium sized concert events, and several feature films.

He has since designed / directed lighting for many critically acclaimed concert tours, including: Barbra Streisand (1994: “The Concert,” 2000/ʼ01: “Timeless,” and 2006/ʼ07 World Tours)
Madonna (“Blond Ambition,” “Whoʼs That Girl,” “Girlie Show,” “Drowned World”);
Prince (“Musicology” tour)
Michael Jackson (“Dangerous” and “HIStory” world tours);
Usher (“8701 Evolution” and “Confessions” world tours)
Bette Midler (“Experience the Divine” and “Return of the Devine,”
“Kiss My Brass!” and “The Showgirl Must Go On” Caesars/Las Vegas);
Christina Aguilera (2000 “What A Girl Wants” world tour;
“Justified/Stripped,” 2003; ”Back To Basics” World Tour, 2006/07);
Shania Twain (“UP!” world tour)
“Dancing With The Stars” (2006/ʼ07; 2008/09 U.S. live tours,)
Janet Jackson (“Janet” world tour);
Mariah Careyʼs “Butterfly” world tour;
To name but a few…

His feature film work includes “Bodyguard”, “Showgirls”, “Truth or Dare” (behind the scenes and in concert with Madonna); and numerous commercials and music videos. Peter was awarded an Emmy for his work on Bette Midlerʼs “Diva Las Vegas” special, along with three other Emmy nominations (for his work on Barbra Streisandʼs and Michael Jacksonʼs specials). Additionally, he is the recipient of four Cable Ace Awards for lighting design and direction of photography for: Madonnaʼs “Blond Ambition,” Madonnaʼs “Girlie Show,” Michael Jacksonʼs “Dangerous” and Barbra Streisandʼs “The Concert.”
