Set designer Daniel Ostling, costume designer Mara Blumenfeld, and lighting designer TJ Gerckens will be making their Metropolitan Opera debut with Mary Zimmerman's production of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, which opens The Met's 2007-2008 season on September 24. The second new production of The Met's new season, opening on October 22, is Verdi's Macbeth, directed by Adrian Noble, with sets and costumes by Mark Thompson and lighting by Jean Kalman.

Michael Bottari and Ronald Case just completed set and costume design for a month-long run of La Mancha at Maltz Jupiter Theatre (formerly the Burt Reynold's Jupiter Theatre) in Jupiter, FL. Lighting design was by Donald Thomas.

Mark Thompson designed the sets and costumes, and Jane Cox designed the lighting for the company premiere of Lakmé at The Minnesota Opera, playing through April 7.

Sound designer Jeremy Lee recently completed acting as associate designer for Broadway's Talk Radio, working with Richard Woodbury (sound designer) and Valerie Spradling (production sound). Lee is also working on sound for a new play by Anna Ziegler, Life Science, and has returned from Holland, where he was working on a production of Tarzan with John Shivers and David Patridge. He has also been working on All the Wrong Reasons at the New York Theatre Workshop with Pamela MacKinnon and Pretty Chin Up at LAByrinth Theatre, as well as Lisa Loomer's play, Distracted, at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

3Graces Theatre Co. is now playing (through April 6) Heather McDonald's Dream of a Common Language at the Hudson Guild Theatre in New York. Set design is by Mandy Hart, with sound design by John D. Ivy, costume design by Veneda Truesdale, and lighting design by Anjeanette Stokes. Stokes is also designing lighting for Fildwith Ensemble Theatre's off-off-Broadway musical, Time Being, beginning April 26 at Theatre Three in New York. The story, book, and lyrics are by Erika Stadtlander, Fildwith Ensemble Theatre's founding artistic director and resident playwright. Sean Littlejohn is stage manager and co-director (with Stadtlander), with Nancy Lindig as costume designer.

Projection designer Michael Clark is having a busy spring, working on the world premiere of Kathy Lee Gifford's Saving Aimee, a musical about the evangelist-celebrity Aimee Semple McPherson, which will bow at Washington, DC's Signature Theatre in May. Clark is also serving as associate designer for Macbeth at the Washington Opera, plus a musical revue, Stairway to Paradise, for the Encores! Series at City Center in NYC, not to mention additional productions of Jersey Boys and 700 Sundays.

The Celebrate Seattle Festival's production of Carmina Burana, directed by Kent Stowell, runs April 5 to 15 and features lighting design by Randall G. Chiarelli, with scenic design by Ming Cho Lee, and Theoni V. Aldredge designing costumes.
