Mix, the magazine for the professional recording and sound production industry and a sister publication of Entertainment Design, will present StudioPro99: Emerging Technologies and the Future of Audio Production, June 14-15 at the Universal City Hilton in Los Angeles.
This year's series of sessions, moderated by editors of and contributors to Mix, will feature such topics as "Audio Production on the Web," "Surround Mixing for Music, Film, and Digital Television," and "The Hybrid Workspace: Integrating Consoles and Workstations." Panelists are scheduled to include music scoring re-recording mixer Shawn Murphy (Star Wars--Episode One: The Phantom Menace and Saving Private Ryan), engineer producer Al Schmitt (Natalie Cole, Steely Dan, Quincy Jones), engineer David Reitzas (Madonna, Celine Dion), and Murray Allen, director of post-production for games maker Electronic Arts.
