Asian Cuisine Any way you cut it, the 38th New York Film Festival was an Asian affair. Presented Sept. 22-Oct. 9, 2000 by the Film Society of Lincoln Center, the festival came to a rousing close with Taiwanese director Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, with major entries from South Korea (Chunhyang), Iran (The Circle), Japan (Taboo, Eureka), Israel (Kippur), and mainland China (Platform). Perhaps the most visually arresting was Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's In the Mood for Love. ...
