…I have to admit, Cathy L. Wright's letter to the editor confused me enough that I had to go back to the December 2005 issue to have a look at this “highly offensive and vulgar” cover.
There seem to be three individuals on the cover that don't mind having their photo on a nationally distributed trade magazine, or maybe we just haven't heard from them yet.
I don't recall, as a technician/designer, ever being asked my opinion of the artistic merit of the production I was involved with…only my input as to how problems/concepts could be solved/executed to the advantage of the production.
Really, if our livelihoods depended on us accepting the artistic standards/philosophies of every show we've ever worked on, would there be technicians in the entertainment industry?
