OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Booth #416) is rolling out three new products at ETS-LDI: the 2W Golden DragonTM, the 6-Lead MultiLED® and the Advanced Power TopLED®.
OSRAM will also participate in the panel, “LEDs: A Technical Overview” on Saturday, October 23, from 2:00–3:00 pm, addressing issues surrounding the use of LEDs for solid-state lighting applications.
The Golden Dragon LED is the first lead- (Pb-) free, surface-mount package (SMT) available on the marketplace. It utilizes both proprietary aluminum indium gallium phosphide (AlInGaP) and indium gallium nitrite (InGaN) chip technologies. The product is also scalable for use in a variety of applications, such as architectural and theme lighting, electronics signage, channel letters, and illuminations applications.
The 6-Lead MultiLED features close chip density for enhanced color mixing. Its patented SMT package allows individual control of red, green, and blue (RGB) chips. It is suitable for LED video and RGB backlighting for LCD, micro displays, and color imaging applications. The display industry utilizes these color-mixing properties for both indoor and outdoor applications.
The Advanced Power TopLED is a high-performance, environmentally friendly (Pb-free), SMT LED that can be operated with a basic circuit. The LED is capable of dissipating up to 500mW of power. It is now available in yellow and red colors. The red Advanced Power TopLED can deliver a typical light output of 14 lumens at 200mA. Currently used in automotive signal lighting, it is suited for signal lighting, display lighting, task lighting, and an array of signage applications.
