Live Design International 2006 Products of the Year Announced

Sixteen products from the fields of lighting, projection, sound, staging, rigging, and special effects released since last fall have been chosen as the 2006 Live Design International Products of the Year. The products will be honored during the Live Design International Awards, held on Saturday, October 21 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, just after the LDI show floor closes at 6pm.
The LDI Products of the Year is the first of a two-part celebration of the best new gear in entertainment technology; part two will feature the best new products debuting at LDI and will be unveiled during the Saturday ceremony.
Each group of winning products was chosen by a panel of designers and technicians in their respective fields. To be eligible, products must have been released during the fall trade show season and currently be shipping.
“While there was no groundbreaking technology introduced during the last year, these 16 products represent clever and highly useful solutions for designers and technicians across the spectrum of entertainment technology,” says David Johnson, editorial director/associate publisher for Live Design. “We wish to thank all the judges who helped us choose these worthy honorees and congratulate all the companies who brought them to market.”
