New Vivien Virtual Event Designer 1.2

With CAST Software’s newest release of Vivien Virtual Event Designer, event designers and planners can create stunning 3D images of events without complex CAD training. It features a streamlined user interface, and more intuitive and user-friendly tools.

“I believe that the success of this product depends on how easy it is for the lay person to get up and running quickly, and Vivien 1.2 does it,” says John Mordal, a Vivien user who recently demonstrated the Vivien at The Event for Planners and Suppliers Expo in Minnesota.

The Vivien team renamed tools like the Missing Coordinate and Shaded View with more user-friendly names like Height and Virtual View. “We’ve listened to feedback from our Users and have delivered it—a simple product that event planners and designers can start using with little or no training. It designs their events from beginning to end,” says Josh Koffman, Vivien product manager at CAST Software.

Vivien 1.2 also includes powerful new features aimed at giving event planners and designers the competitive edge. With the new Import Floorplan feature, users can easily import their client’s floorplans into the program and then set the correct scale so their event designs are always accurate. Other innovative features in this release include a new Projection Wizard that lets planners choose from a number of screens and projectors, the ability to save their event layouts in multiple formats and then distribute them easily by e-mail or hard copy, and performance enhancements that greatly improve the speed of the program.

Vivien is specifically designed for event, meeting, design and production professionals; Vivien won the 2005 EIBTM Worldwide Technology Watch and the 2005 BiZBash Top 10 Best of Show awards.
