Thern Announces Development Of New Theatre Winch
Entertainment and theatre operators will soon have another option for automated curtain systems. Thern and Hall Stage North America are pleased to announce the introduction of the North American version of the Hall Stage DGH variable speed curtain winch.
The 8DGH Series curtain winch is based on the DGH series by Hall Stage Limited, a manufacturer of stage rigging equipment located in the UK. Possessing standard winch features, including a ¾ hp UL motor with control, 4-pole rotary limit switch, grooved drum for up to 65 feet of 1/8 inch wire rope on a closed loop and drum guard, the 8DGH also supports low voltage remote control options giving it the added versatility desired by operators. Customers will have a range of customization options available, including variable voltage packages, motors with brakes, handles for manual operation, and DMX control interface. Factory modification capabilities will also be available to address line speed changes and increased drum capacity to support greater travel distances when required. The 8DGH can also be tailored to an end-user’s specific application requirements. The 8DGH Series Curtain Winches are currently available for order.
